    Think you were referring to the sum total of comments that WaPo eventually deleted.

    Point taken about it not helping a cause, but please.  Really, just please. I was a 19 year old policebeat reporter and the things said to me, mostly by corrupt city officials and people in distress, could've melted steel.

     It's hard to believe that the paper officials, after years of experience in the industry, were really that thinskinned, shocked and unable to deal.

      Perhaps they are really that thin-skinned, and if they are then they're in the wrong profession.  But my point is that even if they are not that thin-skinned, they can use the personal attacks as an excuse for them to censor valid complaints about their newspaper.  If we just stick to the facts, then they lose that excuse.
