  •  The one thing Tucker Carlson said good (4.00)
this week was when he wondered if liberals will still lust after REPUBLICAN John McCain when they learn he's a warmongering hawk.  Shit, they have to figure out he's a Republican first, but that may take another ten years.

Looking forward to Obama!  Wanna see some fire in the lad.  Future president?  I'm down for that!  Damn, Illinois has a great tradition of solid blue senators...

New book from Carville & Begala?  No thanks.  I'm already tired of 90's nostalgia.

TIVO ALERT:  George Allen Vs. Schumer.  Man, last time Allen debated a Dem on a Sunday talker, Chriss Dodd had him literally stuttering and wetting his pants.  Allen will be a less attractive GOP candidate the closer they look at him.  He's kind of a babbling putz..oh, wait, nevermind...

    •  That'[s scary... (none)
... only because a frightfully large percentage of the American electorate has recently shown a certain fondness for Republican stuttering, pants-wetting types...
    •  Dont love Carville or Begala or anything (none)
But I do feel like they should be asvisingan 08 nominee. I mean, they do know how to run and win a rough campaign, and I think Kerry would have been better with them.

As if the CIA leak case wasnt complicated enough, now it turns out there are 2 reporters named 'Novak' involved -Maureen Dowd(paraphrased)

of McCain making excuses for BushCo in the CIA leak case. At the peak of the heat at the end of 2005, he was on one of the shows, and after going on and on and on, he left the impression that there wasn't even a crime, or even an unfortunate act. I remember calling his office and saying that he used to be an American hero, now is just a shill and excuse maker for the Admin that lied out soldiers into war, and helped them coverup the CIA leak, etc.

and a full-fledged WingnutTM to boot.  how he got this bizarre rep as a moderate, i'll never understand.

especially given his silence about what he must know was shrubya's nominal endorsement of his anti-torture bill.

      •  Rove's work (none)
I always think it was Rove who trumpeted the 'moderate' meme about McCain in the 2000 primary.  McCain's probably a more "true conservative" that the Wingnuts would probably adore.

And wasn't it McCain's bday party Bush showed up to while New Orleans was being hit by Katrina?  They were in Phoenix - and I know the news had made it all the way out here in the boonies.

And don't forget McCain's support of removing writ of habeus corpus rights for Gitmo prisoners.

And his support of all of Schwarzenegger's special election proposals.

It just goes on, and on, and on...

        He really is a tool.
