    As I explained in another post, he's got a legitimate primary challenger.  Last thing he wants to do is guarantee that not only will that challenger get pro-choice money, but Lieberman will lose it.

    Byrd had a tremendous opportunity to highlight Alito's hostility for civil rights, more so than Kennedy, Obama or even John Lewis.

    And let me say, its not like every conservative jurist out there is so hostile to civil rights.  But isn't it appalling that when presented with one, that in 2006 America the Democrats nor the media see fit to shame them into a dark corner?
