    If you really think so, prove it. All the rules of the senate are right here in http://rules.senate.gov I quoted the exact rule in an earlier comment and the only exception is "...on a measure or motion to amend the Senate rules..." Judicial nominations are simply a matter before the Senate.

    So please find the one that says judicial nominations are different and enlighten me. You might want to review this discussion of the "nuclear option" as well: http://www.law.virginia.edu/...

    On the other hand, here is the record of an actual Senate judicial cloture vote which shows 86 YEAHS, 13 NAYS, and 1 NOT VOTING.

    You're reasoning "The reason I know I'm right is that don't you think the Democrats would have thought of this ploy already and would be planning the walkout." is pretty ridiculous. Why not dig up some facts.
