and Bill of Rights everytime GW launches into one of his lies.  And no polite applause please.
Sit there with arms folded and stony-faced expressions.

    •  Acting up during State of Union good idea (4.00)
Since the media is doing what they can to marginalize and/or misrepresent the Dems, the Dems need to GET CREATIVE about MAKING the press cover them.

Yeah - the press would probably portray the Dems as loonies - but the Dem BASE would understand. Besides, the fact that there are POLLS which show that a lot of Americans do NOT LIKE the President indicates that maybe a lot of Americans no longer trust the Press.

At a certain point in the former Soviet Union - the pubilc caught on that Pravda was not a reliable source of news - and maybe the same thing could happen here in regards to the corporate media.

Maybe the Dems could take a page from the Georgetown law students and turn their backs during the state of the Union.

      •  Purple Fingers (none)
What about the Rethugs' purple fingers at the last SOTU address?   I'm sure that was Rovian theatre.  The Dems need to pull off a similar stunt and forget about worrying about how it looks or how it will be criticized in the press.  What about:  wearing a partially shredded page of the Constitution on their lapels?  Or wearing headphones to symbolize both blocking out the Chimperor's bullsh*t and also Bush's eavesdropping.  If the Right Wing Shill Media ridicules it, then just remind them of the silly purple fingers.  It's okay for the Republicans to engage in theatrics, but not the Democrats?

...and they passed in thought out to regions where pain and delight flow together and tears are the very wine of blessedness.

Why don't they dip their fingers in purple ink when they vote on cloture or confirmation?  If Bush loves that symbol of democracy, let him see it in his own country.

You can never ask too many questions.
