    I'll bet that CNN simply took it out of context or just totally made it up.

    Yesterday, Ed Henry, one of the authors of the above report, said that Democrats will likely get in the twenties in terms of "No" votes against Alito and that they will be lucky if they get in the thiries (that is, "No" votes on confirmation as opposed to "No" votes on cloture).  But, as we all know, for two days, Kos has had a list up of 31 Democrats who said they'll vote against Alito's confirmation.

    Ed Henry was just making it up as he went along.  He was completely full of shit then, so I would be suspicious of the above report.  It's obvious that CNN is pulling for Alito and, from the beginning, they have actively been trying to create an air of inevitability about his whole confirmation.
