    If you had the resources of the NSA, would the following be possible:

    Use people's internet connections (often 'always on') to install something on people's computers to activate the microphone, so that the government could listen into any room with a computer, internet connection, and microphone (many computers have built-in shitty microphones).

    Or scan any home's computer for files of interest (maybe Al Qaeda, maybe political...)

    It disturbs me that my internet connection is always sending packets back and forth, constantly, even when no internet programs are running.

    Just something to think about.
