    is a hallmark of the Bush administration.  

    The gutting of FEMA was the most obvious due to Katrina, but the same thing happened across the federal government.  NASA scientists censored, park rangers pushed out, FDA officials overridden, all the fired truthtellers in the WH.

    Are we still routinely torturing helpless prisoners, and if so, does it feel right that we as American citizens are not outraged by the practice? -Al Gore
