  •  OK...why? (none)
"I am a Democrat, I was born a Democrat and will die a Democrat no matter how disgusted I get with this party."

    Serious question:  Why?

How far will the pendulum swing to the right before the American people wake up?  It's getting very scary, because of the apathy of the electorate. When will they wake up?, I hope that we don't end up in a 1929 scenario before they do.

The middle class is now under full assault, not only financially, but culturally.

      Can you say, ENRON

Do you think that Ken Lay is a Democrat?

I can't tell which is worse, the distorted view of the world that the right offers, or the apathy that to many Americans have fallen into, thinking that they cannot make a difference.

By the way, I go to church most Sunday's, but now that's my business with God, you take care of yours.

They tell me that it isn't a matter of apathy, it's that there is this mythical pendulum out there, and they can rely on it to swing back, whether they do anything or not, as surely as they can rely on the earth to turn and the sun to rise tomorrow.

...this wasn't supposed to be a serious answer to the question, "Why am I a Democrat?"
