    I wonder if George Deutsch's congregation will be celebrating him for his courageous stance in taking on the big bad NASA scientist?  And now poor little George is being smeared by the New York Times.  

     What you've got to love is that this journalism major claiming that the Big Bang is an "opinion" and then saying this:

    "That would mean we had failed to properly educate the very people who rely on us for factual information the most."

    Wow, how can we bridge this incredible gulf between willfully ignorant people like George and those who respect the fact that science is humanity's best tool to get as close as we can to knowing how our universe works?

    There is an incredible amount of evidence for the Big Bang.  From the cosmic microwave background, to the abundance of elements, to Hubble's observation that all galaxies are moving away from us . . .  For this kid to call it mere opinion is simply embarrassing.  He needs to be fired from NASA yesterday.
