    confuses 'hypothesis' with 'theory'.

    You know that old joke about 'Theory' being a city on one side of the river and 'Practice' being a city on the other side of the river. The joke goes on that in 'Theory' things are done in thus and such a way, fill in with whatever irrational act you want, however in 'Practice' things are done are in a rational way. And of course, to get from Theory to Practice, one must not only get all wet, but Theory is never part of Practice.
