Daisycolorado, please go reread my diary, and the comments I left. Did I say I was against freedom of speech? Don't you think we need the freedom of speech, so I can criticize leaders and dictators?

The Danish flag is cultural, a Cross is religious. If I burned an Israeli flag, is it poltical or religious? Israeli Jews burn Israeli flags. But we're getting off topic.

Muslims voiced concern over the occupation of the Church of the Nativity. If you didn't hear of it, go search the newspaper archives, Arabic newspapers didn't put them online. Why are you assuming they didn't condemn the occupation, did you do any research, or maybe ASK a Muslim?

I can't believe a Muslim would use a Bible for toilet paper (a giant sin! Bibles and Torahs are considered a form of the Scripture that Muslims cannot destroy). Show me your proof of this.

You think this is only a freedom of speech issue? Denmark has laws banning the printing of a swastika, but allows Islamophobic cartoons. Muslims are upset that they aren't being treated equally as a minority under the law. Is that so hard to understand?

    •  This is much more than freedom of speech (none)
It really is getting down to a clash of civilizations. And the question that we will each have to answer is: Which side are you on?

On one side we have Islamic fascists who would like to take us all back to the good old days of the Caliphate and Sharia.

And on the other side we have liberal secular western democracy.

Theo Van Gogh's last words were: "Can't we talk this thing over". The answer from the Islamo-fascist side would seem to be: no.
