    I could just as easily print a litany of Japanese atrocities committed in WWII- some of which make the suffering in Hiroshima and Nagasaki look like humanitarian euthanasia. And I'm not anti-Japanese, either. Far from it; I have great admiration for their culture and people. But their ancestors have done stuff that will curdle your stomach.

    I'm sure there are those in some Muslim states who want to exterminate every Jew in Israel, and subjugate every American as a matter of payback...

    Ethnocentricism is not exclusive to the West, either. Nor is the presence of a uber-powerful elite.

      I was focusing on American crimes to suggest to the OP that every group of people has its share of 'bad apples'.
