    I don't understand why the hell Kennedy and others have given away their strategy BEFORE the hearings?  This makes not one bit of sense.

    As for Arlen.....I think we all know that at the end of the day, no matter what Torquemada says, he's gonna say that he's been satisfied as to the legality of the program.  Let's move on.

    •  Rove's been doing it for years (none)
      Telegraphing his strategy, that it, and it hasn't hurt him one bit. Plus, I think it's actually a good strategy, in that it forces your side to stick to this strategy so as to not look foolish and disorganized to the public, while at the same time showing your opponents that you mean business. By keeping such a strategy secret, you lose both advantages.

      I think they're going to make Torquezales look like the sneaky lying toady that he is before these hearings are over, and score some serious blows at the administration's strategy of framing this as a security vs. liberty issue. They're going to cast our exalted defender of the constitution and national security as anything but.
