  •  I understand your need to vent. (4.00)
But please remember, we are all on the same side. We all share the goal of winning the election in 2006 and 2008. It could very well be that Hackett could very well be the man who turned the party around by inspiring many other soldiers to run for office. And he doesn't have to win a single race for me to give him credit for that.
    •  Bullshit (none)
If Kos was interested in winning in 2006 he wouldn't be whoring for a career politican who doesn't have a chance at winning in this blood red state.

way too diplomatic for my taste!

      Thank you John Kerry

    •  No We Are Not (none)
I am a dem lever pulling loyalist for 35 years. And my parents were active Dems for their entire lives too. If you are for this Dem establishment we are NOT on the same side.

      •  Well, (none)
How do we expect to win if we keep assuming that we are the good guys and they are the bad guys?
        •  Exactly (none)
There are sheeple on both sides and we need to make that we're not them. Your point is right on. If I knew the answer to your question, I'd be a virtual saint.

However, as an analogy, not knowing what to do doesn't mean I necessarily have to bend over and take it. Can I make enough noise so someone can help me out? It's not that I'm stupid or helpless. I'll make sure the Republican Rat Bastards don't reap any benefits from my discomfort. I think most of the "good guys" vote and will continue to vote for the Dem "bad guys" only because they are the lesser of two evils.

I have been singing the same tune since 2000. And it seems as if more and more people are joining in.

          •  Constructive criticism is OK. (none)
I don't mind stuff that is constructive criticism of Kerry, Reid, Pelsoi, Dean, etc. I have given my share and I think the party needs to develop more of a spine.

All I am saying is that people have different ideas of who the establishment figures we have to oppose are. Some people think people here at Kos are the sellouts. One person I know of and her friends think we are part and parcel of the DLC. Despite our differences, we still need to find ways to get along.

Both Brown and Hackett have done good things for the party. But either one would be much better than Mike DeWine. That is why I think we still need to get behind Brown even if we supported Hackett.

I know emotions are running high, and I don't want fights between Hackett and Brown supporters to turn into a contest to see who can get in the last word.
