  •  DailyKos gets Freeped (4.00), look at all the Freepers jumping all over Kos. And here I thought liberals were the party of inclusion. See? This is why we lose elections, folks... we can't stick together when we disagree. Geez, and I thought the Republicans smacked their members down when someone stepped out of line. Little did I know the pitchforks-wielding mob would start marching when someone dared not to lick the boots of the beloved Hackett.
Here's a constructive thought though: let's agree to disagree, and get back to work saving our country, huh? We know Kos isn't an ultra-liberal, and we know he's human (and thus often wrong). So, let's bury the hatchet and stop the name calling, huh?
    •  but didn't you know (4.00)
the universe is now lost because Hackett can no longer become Brown's sacrificial lamb (though perhaps bloodying him up and draining him of a lot of money before finally being defeated)
    •  huh? (4.00)
why did someone give you a 1 for this?  I didn't see anything warranting that rating.  This board is ridiculous sometimes.  I come here for intense, some times heated discussions, but the lack of civility makes me cringe.  I thought your comment was good, and I'm going to give you a 4 to combat the idiot.
      •  sorry... (4.00)
it was a zero, a troll rating.
      •  There's been a mini-freeper attack recently (4.00)
I've gotten troll-rated and flamed beyond anything I've ever experienced here during the past day or so. I think there might be some newbies and "sleeper cells" with lower UIDs who finally decided to launch some sort of attack.

Here's a clue. If you make an "out of the box" suggestion that diverges from hard-left theology (e.g. not all Repubs are evil), and then get called a Republican, or not a real Democrat, or quoted "If you lie down with dogs then you'll get fleas" or some such nonsense, consider yourself freeped too.

I gave him a 4 too. But if this guy keeps it up then the system will eventually take care of him. One guy already appears to have gotten banned tonight (tcx) for retributive troll-rating others.

        •  civility (4.00)
seems to be a lost art these days.  I love a good fight, and down here in Texas I fight a lot for progressive causes.  However, respect is earned, and acting like an immature child doesn't get your message heard.  Maybe it's age, or maybe it's just the time of night and people are coming home from the bars.

          good times.

      •  Maybe (none)
because the persons comment almost sounds like anyone who believes Kos's post was lame, too apologetic for what happened to Hacket, etc is a freeper.

Now that may not have been the commenters intent, but that is how it reads, "yeah you can disagree but if you call him out and use names then you are a freeper".

        That's.... something.

because if you spend time at FR, this is what they do to people that disagree.  Calling someone names is childish, and never furthers the agenda.  If you disagree with him, act like an adult and write down your argument.  Explain why you feel that way.  Calling someone names takes away any credibility your argument might have had, with me anyway.

Freepers don't have a lot of independent thought going on, so what they do is call us "liberals" and dive in to name calling.  They don't have well thought out arguments, and they don't understand any perspective other than their own.  To not respect a man's right to his opinion isn't just immature, it's disappointing.  This is a board full of intelligent people, from all walks of life, that are able to express themselves articulately and without the need for name calling.

Maybe we should have a board for people that are so radically left they're just a breath away from the radical right.

          just a thought.
