    I'm not sure what you're saying, but perhaps it's because you didn't understand what I was saying. What I'm saying is that one reason we have so few women who are elected representatives is that the party bails on them as "not having a chance". Part of what Kos said was that Hackett didn't have as much money, and so it was ok to bail on him because he didn't have a chance. As you point out, women don't usually have the strongest funding streams, either. If we discounted female candidates just on that basis, Washington would be 100% male.

      ...now. Thanks. That said, given how Hackett "packaged" himself, standing up to bullies, it's curious he chose not to stand up to those he obviously considers bullies within the Democratic Party. I'll take someone like Cegelis, who stands regardless of the "support" she gets from the DCCC. Actually, I'm convinced either Cegelis or Duckworth is likely to win; they're both outstanding candidates and it's too bad there isn't a way to "distribute" them differently. It's one district in which there's an "embarassment of riches" -- something we-un's ain't used to on our side of the aisle.
