    I'm not a hunter, so I'll pass on what I read about "car-hunting".  It's considered very tacky, not sporting.  Some people equate the term with "poaching".  Ethical hunters always give the prey an honest chance.  Besides, what's the point if it's so easy?  

    There's another story I read somewhere that Cheney and somebody else took home over 70 pheasants on one trip.  A friend of mine who used to hunt birds said if he got 2 in a season it was a big deal.  Kinda like stuffing your pockets or purse with hors d'oevres at a wedding.

      So, if the birds are caged and released to be shot, in quantity, and there are dogs and beaters and all of that, then why was Whittington allegedly bending down to pick one up? For his supper? To get its remains off of his shoe? I'm missing something.
