    Or at least, not the only way.

    Face it, a lot of Americans are anti-Arab right now, and the biggest reason for that is, the Republican party has been spending quite a few billion dollars of taxpayers' money over the past five years to make them anti-Arab and anti-Moslem. The equation "Arab = terrorist" is the subtext in every speech Bush makes.

    So now, the Republicans turn around and (as it's being reported) give away six American ports to a bunch of Ay-rabs?

    If this is finally at long last making some of the GOP's most loyal supporters question them... well, it serves them right. It's their own damn fault for encouraging xenophobia.

    It's not the Democrats' job to get into the middle of this dogfight. Mention it to every Limbaugh listener and Coulter fan you meet, sure. Poke up the fire from time to time. Rub your hands and chortle quietly, by all means. Enjoy the spectacle.

    But don't get in the way.
