  •  Ah, but (4.00)
the Voke school I went to sends a lot of kids to college now.
My daughter for one, graduated from Electronics discipline, then took a Business degree.
My nephew, same discipline, has his Bachelors in Electronic Engineering and is looking for a program to get his Masters.... but Electronic, not Electrical Eng.

There are MANY college-assist courses now at Voke schools, Electronics, Drafting and Machine Shop aim at engineering, Culinary Arts has a good relationship with Johnson & Wales in RI & many go there for Chef or restaurant/hotel management, etc...

The school also has a 100% mark on the MCAS test.... an amazing accomplishment for a Voke school!

    •  That's very good to hear (4.00)
I am encouraged -- and good for your daughter and nephew!

Of course college is not always the hottest ticket to wealth untold -- with my mighty degree in hard science, I am earning approx. 1/3 of what my high-school-and-Navy-educated, hardcore-blue-collar-union ex#2 earns! (And if I were still laboring in a university lab, I'd be earning only 1/7 of his current pay and would qualify for food stamps.)
