  •  McCain or Giuliani in 2008? (4.00)
It would be a very smart move for Republicans. To stand any chance of regaining the White House, they need to nominate someone who doesn't remind the American people of Dubya.

However, I don't think that's what they'll do. Their rationale for GWB's recent collapse is to say he wasn't a "real" conservative. They will therefore try to nominate someone who looks more right-wing than the current President. McCain and Giuliani don't fit that image.

    •  Giuliani's chances of winning the primaries (none)
are about as strong as Dick Cheney's chances of beating Lance Armstrong in a bike race.

I like Rudy, but he's way too easy to shoot down.  Cheated on his wife?  Yup.  Shady New York business dealings?  Yup.  Socially liberal and kills babies?  You bet.

That would be our wet dream if they were foolish enough to nominate Rudy.  He has so many ugly skeletons in the closet, he can't shut the door.
