    Just read it again:

"There are many intelligence gaps, concerning the potential for DPW or P&O assets to support terrorist operations, that precludes an overall threat assessment of the potential" merger," an undated Coast Guard intelligence assessment says.

So the Coast Guard, who runs security for the ports, says that the threat cannot be assessed.  Bush says "people don't need to worry about security."

Click on the yahoo link and rate the story up, this is a major hole in the defense of the deal.

    Resistance is NOT futile.

    •  However, CFIUS - (none)
that noble group that we are supposed to trust - who did an intensive review - and who could find no national security concerns - didn't include a member from the Coast Guard.  Nor did they consult the Port Authority of NY/NJ.

On Bush: "He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire." --(borrowed from) Churchill
