    the dictatorship stuff he talked about jokingly early on in his term.  Those of us who were already paying attention knew that "national security" was a smokescreen for a power grab.  This deal has caused the smokescreen to drift away.

    As someone else noted above, as usual, there's a real Lewis Carroll quality to this issue.  The outcome of the CFIUS review is as predictable as the outcome of a Politburo vote when Stalin was in power.  I've learned to not underestimate these guys over the years, but I'm curious to see how they'll convince the broad American public to ignore all of the scare tactics that they've utilized since 9/11.

    Some men see things as they are and ask why. I see things that never were and ask why not?

      and the Democrats could get out there and take this national security smokescreen to battle, pull the Oz curtain, revealing that terrorism is no long-term world-wide affair, just little patches here and there among countries, not us because little countries, say like Iran, cannot possibly get into a war with western powers.  They're not going to launch anything but a new economy built on nuclear power.
