  •  He was in the Superdome (none)
I can see him saying that.
    •  Brian Williams (none)
I don't watch TV so I don't really know anything about Brian Williams.  But I did turn on the TV last week for the Olympics, and I heard him in a blurb for what would be on his show that night (Michael Brown talking about NOLA), and in 30 secs he managed to piss me off twice. First, he said that Michael Brown lost his job for how he did during Katrina, making it sound like he was fired, but as we all know, he resigned.  And then he said something like "Michael Brown takes responsibility for his part in the disaster, but he says responsibility goes all the way to the top.  We all know Bush has already taken responsibility for Katrina..." Did I miss that? Did Bush take responsibility?  So now I am under the impression that Brian Williams is a tool.  Is this correct or incorrect, all you tv watchers?
      •  Yeah, Bush took responsibility (none)
in a shifty-eyed, squirming way that a little kid will take responsibility for breaking a window or something.

All Bush said, while squirming and blinking like crazy, is something like "As far as the federal response is concerned, I take full responsibility."

And anyway, I'd much rather have Brian Williams say what he did, noting that the does indeed run to Bush than have foxnews claim "We'll have Michael Brown on today to tell us about why Democratic mayors and governors failed their citizens during Katrina."

And finally, although Brown resigned, you'd have to be an idiot not to think he was pressured into it by the higher ups, to be their face-saving fall guy.

The ONLY thing the Republicans are successful in is marketing their talking points to the public.
