The Marines will be called to task in Washington next month following a controversial decision by the branch of the armed forces to censor sites to avoid angering the immasculated Bush Administration.

The decision by Chris Smith, a Republican congressman from New Jersey who chairs a House subcommittee on Human Rights, to call for a February 16 hearing to examine the operating procedures of the US Marine Corps, represents the first signs of what could become a serious backlash against the Marines and other branches of the armed forces in Washington that are perceived as capitulating to the Shrub government.

Mr Smith on Wednesday accused the Marines of "collaborating .. with persecutors" who oppress and annoy United State citizens "in the service of truth".

"It is astounding that the Marines, whose motto is 'Semper Fi' would enable evil by cooperating with Bush's censorship policies just because they're pussies," he said.
