    I tried to do some "campaign contributions" research for this series, but came up a little short (addressed in part 3).  I admit I'm a novice about doing this kind of research.  What I did find amounted to very little, but it leaves me to believe that, and I am just guessing, the campaign contributions are "coming from somewhere and going to who knows where"...  Maybe someone more knowledgeable in this area could someday take this on as a project.

        I am honored!  Thank you.  I'll have to call my dad tonight and tell him!
        I grew up in a union family (USWA). Many, many years ago I worked as a "clerical temp" for two local offices and one district office of the USWA.  (I filled in for clerical employees who were on vacation and had two stints for employees who were on extended sick leave.)  I enjoyed the work and it was a good experience for me.
