  •  Corkscrew Swamp (none)
Last year in March I visited a family member who winters in Naples.  We went to Corkscrew Swamp, which is the first time I've ever visited a swamp.  It was incredibly gorgeous.  It was also very dry, unusually so.  Normally the cypress knees would be protruding through the water, but there was no water and we could see the entire root systems.  The Lettuce Lakes area thankfully had water along with alligators and birds galore.  But even so there were fewer than usual, according to the docents who tended to be retired people who have been volunteering in the swamp for years if not decades.
