  •  Losing 53-40 isn't my... (4.00)
definition of tantalizingly short.  Hackett came tantalizingly short last year.  Rodriguez didn't come tantalizingly short here.

I'm also concerned about what happened in Webb County.  Schmidt's stronghold held back its vote until the wee hours last year, and Cuellar's stronghold did the same this year.  It may be pure coincidence, and no one will ever be able to prove that it wasn't, but, in the age of Diebold, it's a cause for concern.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I see things that never were and ask why not?

    •  Runoff (none)
The goal was to force a runoff, then different dynamics would be at play.
      •  I know what the goal was... (4.00)
and I am proud that I contributed $25 towards it. I just don't think that losing by over 12 points is anything to be happy about.  I also worry about the fact that our candidates so often seem to be on the receiving end of questionable electoral activities.

    •  What I would like to see is (none)
NO reporting of results until they are ALL in. Or at least the vast majority of them (say, 98%) and all the major population centers reported.

It's harder to pull stunts if you don't know how many you need to win. ;-)

    •  It does look fishy (none)
I don't trust those Republican voting machines either, and if we ever find out that someone interfered with election results, that person should be executed for treason.
