    but I don't think it has the desired effect for a lot of people. I don't think they want independents included. Also it does nothing to stop young republicans registering for the first time to sign up on our side... if you believe that sort of thing is wide spread.

    And I supposed if someone wanted to coordinate a right wing assault on a Democratic primary they could simply organize it before election day.

    In the 2000 NH Primary I considered switched sides to vote for McCain since Gore seemed to have a comfortable lead...but in the end decided that A) it wasn't right for me to go messing around in the primary where I would never ever vote for their nominee in the General election and B) I wanted Gore to have a nice margin against Bradley C) I couldn't stand the idea of becoming a registerd Republican... even if for just one day.
