  •  I was called recently by a friend (none)
who told me of a gay couple who have been together for quite some time, and they also adopted 2 kids, having trouble with the government.

The one partner is from France, he has a green card, and now the government is saying he has to go home to France.  They have a beautiful home, two young children, very good jobs, and now the government says Frenchie has to go home.  They are frantic to say the least.

Their story is really troubling to me, an LGBT activist, because our local Congressman is not really gay-friendly, and our 2 US Senators, Santorum and Specter, are not seen as being able to help in this matter.  This couple has been given names of organizations to contact to see if they may be able to help.  I am afraid that the French partner may be deported soon.  It's even harder if you're gay.  There are not many avenues for help unfortunately.

Something needs to be done to help all of these people who the US wants to send back to their native countries.  This is tearing families apart.

Ask President Bush and the GOP.....what has happened to your Family Values stance?

If the people lead, the leaders will follow.
