    It's quite apt.  Read your history.

    The big problem with the "Let's ignore pro-choice/let them dump Roe" argument is that it's based on the assumption that the majority of the US is pro-choice but many/most people just don't bother to vote.  When the right of choice is taken away, they'll be jostled out of their indifference and go to the polls and vote for the good guys.

    OK, I agree that the majority of people are pro-choice, but why not start rousting them out of their stupor NOW???  

    Why not spend a lot of time and money on presenting a pro-choice Dem candidate for Republican voters who are leaning pro-choice but haven't yet resolved to break away from their increasingly weird party?

    If choice is really so important to them, this is precisely the right time to make it a Big Issue.  

    If choice is really important to us, then this is the time to fight for it tooth and nail.  Ceding the ground to the aggressors is precisely the wrong thing to do under the circumstances.  We may never get it back.

    Unfortunately, I suspect that choice isn't important to many of you.
