let CNN know what you think of Soledad's shoddy interviewing skills:

After watching Soledad O'Brien's infuriating interview with Russ Feingold this morning, I think I can safely say that I will never watch "American Morning" or CNN again.

I have seen a lot of bad television journalism in the past decade, but I can't remember every being so appalled as I was by this "journalist's" clearly partisan bickering with a U.S. Senator.

First, O'Brien goes from calling the proposed censure of President Bush "a slap on the wrist" to something "serious," as if she wasn't sure which one it was. Then she proceeded to try to browbeat Senator Feingold into agreeing with her opinion that the jury is still out on government wiretaps and that he should have "waited" to start talking about censure.

I turn into the news to be informed, not to be reminded that our "reporters" are nothing more than pretty faces who know next to nothing about what's going on in the world.

In case Ms. O'Brien has been living under a rock for the past several months, there is no "jury" investigating the legality of the wiretaps. There are only groups of congressmen who seek to expand the powers of the exeutive branch of government by making such wiretaps legal. If she is confused as to whether eavesdropping on American citizens without a warrant is legal, she should consult the 4th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

It was very clear to me that, rather than doing any real research prior to interviewing Sen. Feingold, O'Brien merely picked up a copy of Bill Frist's talking points on the issue.

Shame on you, Soledad O'Brien. Take a page from Keith Olbermann's book and do your homework. As Benjamin Franklin once said,"Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither and will surely lose both."
