  •  Congress as a Tool (0+ / 0-)

This bill is the legislative leverage that our friendly right-wing opponents will use to shut DKos down, via a simple 'complaint' to the FEC.

You've seen the playbook: the Parent's Television Council is responsible for 99% of the 'complaints' to the FCC, trying to "save us" from Howard Stern and the Teletubbies. The American Family Association is using the same script today, trying to revive their threatened boycott against Ford right now, for advertising in the "wrong kind" of magazines.

All it will take is one complaint, from one person, submitted to the right crony appointed to the commision, and your Daily Kos fix turns into this. Meanwhile Freeperland keeps on chugging along, because when anyone lodges a complaint about that site, it is "taken under advisement".
