How many Diebold machines can 10 million buy?

so she could buy an infinite number.

If your name was George Walker instead of George Walker Bush, your candidacy would be a joke.

    •  Exactly. The fix is in, and she knows it. (0+ / 0-)

A good chunk of that ten million is going to buy some nice tinkering with those machines.

      •  Nonsense (7+ / 0-)

How do you rig a race when you're 20 points down? Republicans honestly wanted her the fuck out of this race.

I keep hearing this nonsense here in Ohio too about the gubernatorial race. Yes, it IS true that by a combination of voter suppression and playing with the totals, Secretary of State Kenneth "Katherine Harris" Blackwell delivered Ohio -- and the White house -- to Bush in 2004. But I'm tired of this hand-wringing hopeless alleging that it doesn't matter that Ted Strickland is 18 points or 24 points or whatever ahead of Blackwell in the gubernatorial race because Blackwell (who is still Sec'y of State and will be in charge of the election) will fix it. Once the primary is over and the public outside of his fundie base starts to learn little tidbits such as that Kathy Blackwell wants to make every abortion a felony EVEN those to save a mother's life, well, he's goin' down!
It doesn't matter if you are 90 points down!
Central Tabulation and GEMS is an insecure system.

Mickey Mouse could win a plurality and you'd have no way to disprove it.

Except where optical scans are used and a hand recount of paper ballots happens.

(which actually now that I think about who this is, I could totally see happening, and I could totally see being a big time karmic payback...hah!)

          but still!
please at least try to understand the problem... the world of polls and numbers is not the world of unverfied voting, we're talking about permenent "too close to call".

PS: I agree Republicans do want her out... but please at least try to understand the problem.

Electronic miscounts of votes are a fact, not a theory, so let's fix it!
