    is still in it, and has raised a decent amount of cash for a no-name mayor threatening an incumbent.  There's still a decent chance he could become the nominee.

      He's not well regarded outside the right wing of the RI Repubs.

      Patriotism may be the last refuge of scoundrels, but religion is assuredly the first.

        if he stayed as mayor of Cranston.  With one party rule nearly everywhere in RI, we need someone with fiscal discipline - whatever party - at the local levels.

        But yes, we all can do without his ego, and his Republican stances on other issues.

        Here's hoping he wins the primary; CW says Laffey is easier for Whitehouse or Brown (Dem candidates) to beat.
