Joe Lieberman's little statements and mini-antics don't suggest that he's all that secure about surviving the primary, his claims to the contrary notwithstanding.

I'm realistic. I don't understand why Joe sounds worried; I seriously doubt Ned Lamont will beat Lieberman. But the more viable Lamont's candidacy becomes, the less Lieberman will pull his Bush-kissing act. And that, in and of itself, carries enormous value for the Dems nationwide. A Hannity schmoozefest by Lieberman becomes an instant Lamont campaign ad -- so the Republicans, for awhile at least, will be deprived of their best source of "bipartisan" cover for their atrocities.

And that alone makes Lamont's candidacy worth it. If he wins it's just gravy.

Of course Republicans oppose abortion. If you kill them in the womb, they're not available to be killed on the battlefield.

But Joe's been doing a great Job stumping for Lamont. He's making about every mistake one can make in the campaign.

Rule #1 - When being faced by an unknown opponent, do nothing to raise their profile.

Joe has been doing everything he can to improve Lamont's name rec.

Simply stupid. I learn more and more why Joe's polling drops like Hoffa into Lake Michigan wherver he actively campaigns.
