I think it somewhat understates the case. I think Kerry finishes somewhere north of 55%. I really do.

I think it's because, as you point out, Democrats believe this is the most important election of their lifetimes. You can see it in the early voting lines, and in the heavy lifting being done all over the country.

Does that translate into the 5 million more votes needed to get to 55%? Yes I do. With coattails. Nice, long coattails.

But enough crowing. Back to work...we have to get those millions of votes one at a time.
