Kerry's decision not to challenge the results and drag this thing out could be brilliant.  If it's the citizens of Ohio who do it and we get all those hanging chads counted (Ohio law says 2 or fewer corners intact equals a vote), Kerry may well be the winner and the recount -- i.e., the demand that all the votes be counted according to applicable state law -- can't be "blamed" on him.  

It will be much harder for the Supremes to step in this time since Ohio State law has a uniform standard for how to count the punch cards, and Rhenquist may not be able to take part in the theft deliberations.
