    those are called qualifications in this administration. i'm looking for an instance where he actually displayed ethics or stood up for sanity once. that'd be the only thing that would keep him off shlubya's list.

  I was watching the 10 and 11pm news in NYC and at least two stations totally whitewashed his withdrawal, both leading with the story about stepping aside because he found a problem with a housekeeper. yeah, right. I guess it had nothing to do with his Taser deal or his castigation in front of the 9/11 commission. I'm beginning to think that we really need to destroy the media in this country wholesale and start from scratch.

        First link on a Google search for the words Bush and abortion brought me this: http://www.atheists.org/flash.line/elec22.htm
        The rumor went nowhere provable, of course. Basically, Larry Flynt knew who the woman was, but she wouldn't go public. I also heard that the woman mysertiously moved into a large home, even though she was a waitress (IE, she was paid off by somebody).

  And another possible reason for pulling out. It may have just became obvious to Kerik that he would have to disengage from his endorsement contracts with Taser. Since the govt is contracting to buy a boat load of these "stun 'em to death" guns, it would be conflict of interest.
  I'll bet he couldn't stomach the monetary loss so he comes up with this nanny excuse.
