  •  He won't strangle them (none)
But he will shure give them enough rope for a short drop with a quick stop, and somehow get them to pull the lever.

Don't expect Harry to be much of a mouthpiece either, he will at times, but he'll put forth smoother talkers (possibly Obama) for the verbal jousting.  He is a good operator behind the scenes.

    •  Earlier this month (none)
I had the opportunity to talk to a prominent democrat in the House of Representatives, who said the combination of Senator Reid as minority leader/parlimentatrian and Senator Durbin as mouthpiece is going to drive the repubs nuts.

Durbin was on the evening news programs the other night urging Bush to release the national guardsmen imprisioned for scavenging parts (against orders) from disabled vehicles in Iraq. Durbin knows a good issue and when to push it.

I feel much more confident with Reid, Durbin and Pelosi showing some backbone rather than Daschle and Gephardt floundering along.
