I remember getting my first very unsatisfactory temp job over a year ago.  I had been out of work for 6 months.  In time, the assignments got better, I made some friends and ... yes business contacts, and I felt generally better.  It's almost more important at some point to have a schedule to arrange your life around.

Congrats on the job.  I hope it doesn't last too long before you get a better one.
