  •  Actually, Ashland does have it. (none / 0)

So does Hillsboro, a suburb quite near to Portland. And several Portland theaters. I exaggerated.  But I wanted to see it on opening weekend and am not able to make a 2+ hour trip north or south at that time.  I know there are many near Eugene and Corvallis who feel the same way, and the theater owners here ought to know it, too.

Maybe I'll contact some local theaters and ask for it.

I played with the map just a little. Among the states that don't have it at all are Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Nevada, South Dakota, Kansas, West Virginia, Mississippi and Georgia (Georgia! What, not even Atlanta or Athens?). Maybe a couple others. Virginia has it only in fairfax; New Hampshire only in Hanover; Alabama in Montgomery. Louisville has it in several theaters; so does Indiana and South Carolina, so we are reaching some of the states that need to hear the message the most.  But it needs to be brought to towns near military bases.

    •  In Salem (none / 0)

I have been pestering our local arthouse theatre since the opening date was announced. The owner is on the phone daily to Lions Gate. So far she has found out that Salem would be not be on the initial list of 1000 theatres, but it is scheduled to be added in later (she probably won't get it though, since it is going "commercial"), so I am sure that Corvallis and Eugene will get it soon too. I am considering making the trek to Portland (only 1 hour from here) on the 25th, since it's my birhday, and it would be fun to get some friends to go with and have a celebration.
