      From what I've seen, the Russian media can be very closed and controlled, especially about sensitive things like this. It's not the United States. Let's wait and see.

        It will help Putin greatly and give him a blank check to really do some radical things like change the Constituation of his nation.

        I expect Putin and Bush will have a big meeting in the next couple days about the War on Terror.

          You're paranoid. Relax. Putin will want to control the story in a heavy handed way, which means no wide open investigation in public.

              to believe that, but for better or worse (actually worse - there is no 'better'), Americans just don't care that much about Russians.  The Spain bombings were big news, and they were not the only thing on TV that week.  This story, especially if it's Chechens and not Islamicists, will come and go without bumping SVBT, Scott Peterson trial or Olympic medal scandals off the front page (screen).
