they are all (Putin, Chirac, us) a bunch of hypocrites.
They claim "never again". Never again will the world be silent in the face of genocide.
Unless of course if it's blacks being massacred.
Like in Darfur.
Like right now. Yeah, on the day of the anniversary of Auschwitz.
So I guess Cheney is less of a hypocrite. His sartorial choice implies that he doesn't give a shit that millions of jews were massacred.
And his policy choices show that he doesn't give a shit that millions of africans are killed either.
Asshole? yes. But consistent.

    when mandela was imprisoned in apartheid south africa, as was pointed out in the VP debates.
    don't expect him to give a rat's ass about dark children in africa dying (much less brown ones in iraq, or white ones in europe)....
    rwanda, darfur, somalia, ethiopia.......does some one see a pattern here?

      ...but don't Orthodox Jews have something against wearing colors? It's bad enough to go against normal custom of wearing black to such somber events, but I wonder if wearing green to a memorial for 100s of thousands of victims (most of them Jewish) would be a double insult.

        this is the equivalent of wearing a sweatshirt and jeans to a funeral. The fact that even his "hot girl-on-girl action" wife was able to dress appropriately makes even clearer his contempt for the people being remembered and honored at this occasion.
