    You're right. This is way more complicated than NEBV seems to want it to be. Americans may want to win, but that's better phrased as "we would like to win if that's reasonably possible." We don't want victory at any cost.

    "First Peace, Then Withdrawal"? Ok. Riiiight. As you said, that should take forever.

    Slogans are fine for instant coffee brands. Not when we're talking about war.

    And anything that is boiled down to a simple phrase, "it's all about [fill in blank]" is almost always wrong.

    Nice diary. I wish there would be more talk in the MSM about this issue. I think a lot of Americans, even normally pro-war types, recognize the complexity of the situation and would welcome some discussion about it.
