  •  kos - my first thought (none / 0)

(From the diaries. This looks good, except for the part where the Senator talks about "legitimate" bloggers and online journalists. How, and by whom, that is defined, ultimately, is crucial to whether such regulations truly protect bloggers -- kos)

Kos - my first thought when I read the Senator's thoughts about legimate bloggers and online journalists was this:  John/Jeff Gannon/Guckert

That may have been the reason for the Senator's careful wording. I'm pretty sure Kos has nothing to worry about.

    •  "Legitimate Journalists" (4.00 / 2)

After Armstrong, Gannon/Guckert,Coulter& Co, and the likes [of Judith Miller flogging WMD from Iraq ,and palling with Pentagon Neo-Cons and friend Chalabi], it would surprise everyone to find an accurate standard or even "definition" of a "legitimate journalist".  The irony is that journalism in MSM is as corrupt, cowardly, and innacurate as it gets.  And I'm not even going  near the lack of fact checking.  The so called "legitimate press" has failed to provide truth and transparency, and then they wonder why the Blogosphere offers real alternatives re: opinion, facts, and the courage that has inspired so many to speak out, write, and learn. And yes, we are making a difference.  Legitimately!
