I think he added some stuff about "we as Americans have to decide what is right and wrong," and he adds that the prisoners should be given a fair trial. I don't remember reading those statements this morning, although my memory is sketchy. Its possible that he put them in there originally and I got so upset that my "selective memory" (TM of the Republican Party) kicked in.

What's interesting, though is that he closes his diary by proposing to show the video of the people jumping out of the WTC on 9/11 as motivation for supporting torture. Why doesn't he also show the videos of soldiers shooting injured and unconcious Iraqis or the pictures at Abu Gharib?
