From what you've posted day after day, what's your opinion about how peace can be achieved in Iraq?

If the insurgents are killing off anyone who attempts to enlist in Iraq, it's just provides BushCo justification to keep a US military presence there. So what do they think they are accomplishing?

I spoke with an Iraqi on a speaking tour in the US. He says, if the US/British occupation forces leave, the insurgents (homegrown and from outside) "lose their ground." He knows it would be a very difficult transition, with loss of life, but he believes that, in the long run, that's the only way things can balance out there.

    What do you think?

(Sorry I missed you yesterday and made it late today.)

    •  Far be it from me (4.00)
to suggest how peace can be achieved.

      I do believe two things:

      • violence generates more violence
      • we have to see and acknowledge all who suffer because of this war.

Maybe then the way out can be clearer?
