        I agree with the old idea of "music of the spheres" - that the universe is perfect and orderly, and we can experience this personally, now, without waiting for an afterlife or whatever, through the right kind of music.  Bach is the man.

        I don't think you have to "understand" it.  If it works for you, it works.

      It's only spiritual to us because we are incapable of any legitimate grasp of the math involved.  Calling string theory spiritual as a response to our inability to understand it is like listening to two people speak Spanish and claiming they are speaking in tongues.
