The Michigan marijuana advocacy crew attempted to place a Privacy Amendment on the balot in 2000. Without much support from either the national drug policy reform funders, other issue groups, or any Party but the Libertarians, they fell well short of the 300,000 or so signatures required, but did pull enough to suggest that a better organized effort could succeed.
